ATHERTON STROLL

Location: Atherton, California
Architect:
Pacific Peninsula Architecture
Landscape Contractor: Ragno & Ross

This home rests on the flatlands of Atherton with existing heritage trees (Quercus agrifolia, Sequoia sempervirens, Magnolia spp.) scattered throughout the property and offering a park-like landscape. The design for this project elevated this mature landscape through the creation of a tapestry of botanicals mixed with native grasses, shrubs and flowering trees. The property’s strolling garden offers opportunities to linger, wander and be greeted by site features such as fountains, a redwood grove respite, a series of fruit trees, an outdoor kitchen, vegtable garden and work table, and an expansive pool and ADU terrace.
