SAN FRANCISCO THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY

Location: Atherton, California
Architect: ARG, Architectural Resource Group

After the Loma Prieta earthquake the two most historic structures; Montgomery and Scott Halls both from the late 19th century were structural damaged, red tagged and deemed uninhabitable.  We worked with the design team to repair these buildings, developed a updated site plan that provided for fire truck access, new and increased parking and connection to the existing pathway networks on site.

At the same time we redesigned the upper most plaza of the Geneva Hall.  We incorporated a highly reinforced terrace for large group gathering and openings for shade trees.  The plaza affords some of the most dramatic views of Mount Tamalpias in the bay Area.
